Jack White has once again utilized social media to express his disapproval of President Donald Trump and his administration. Recently, the musician voiced his concerns regarding the U.S. Treasury Department’s decision to include Trump’s signature on all new U.S. paper currency. Historically, U.S. dollars have featured only the signatures of the Treasury Secretary and the Treasurer, marking this as the first instance of a sitting president’s signature appearing on paper notes.

In a pointed Instagram post, White mockingly stated, “Oh how humble!” and suggested, in jest, that Trump should sign into law the addition of his image on the front of the hundred dollar bill as well. He criticized this decision, particularly as it coincides with the rising cost of living that many Americans are currently facing.

The escalation of gas prices, linked to Trump’s recent campaign against Iran, has the potential to exacerbate inflation and impose further economic strain on citizens.

White lamented the situation, noting, “The TSA agents are selling plasma to pay rent while he takes the day off, cheats at golf, and bombs other countries for fun. Gas prices are surging as a worldwide crisis that HE caused rages in the Middle East.” He highlighted the contrast between Trump’s media presence through his signature and the president’s leisure activities, such as touring Graceland and his "bloated, cocky signature on all U.S. currency."
