While visiting Shane Hollander (portrayed by Hudson Williams), Ilya Rozanov (played by Connor Storrie) hears an eerie sound emanating from the woods, which causes him to panic about the creature that may appear. Ultimately, the source of his concern turns out to be merely a bird — specifically, a Common Canadian Loon.

Despite it being a benign bird, Ilya refers to it as a "stupid Canadian wolf bird." Fans of Heated Rivalry, along with those who appreciate this iconic scene, now have the opportunity to purchase their very own "Canadian wolf bird" plush toy, thanks to an official collaboration with the collectibles brand Youtooz.

This product is officially licensed by Youtooz, Hot Topic, and Crave, the Canadian studio responsible for the popular hockey series.

Additionally, the "wolf bird" scene is referenced in Rachel Reid's 2019 novel of the same name, which served as a foundation for the TV series. Heated Rivalry is the second installment in Reid's acclaimed Game Changers series.
