Bad Bunny Joins the 'Toy Story 5' Cast as Pizza With Sunglasses

Bad Bunny will showcase his vibrant persona in the realm of animation, as the Puerto Rican superstar has been officially announced as part of the cast for the anticipated film Toy Story 5.

On Tuesday, May 26, Disney confirmed that the Grammy Award-winning artist will lend his voice to a cameo character known as Pizza with Sunglasses. This character is characterized as "effortlessly cool and mysterious," and is part of a select group of forgotten toys residing in an abandoned shed.

Alongside Bad Bunny, Disney has also disclosed that actor Alan Cumming will join Toy Story 5 in the role of Evil Bullseye, the nefarious counterpart to Woody and Jessie's loyal horse, Bullseye.

Toy Story 5 will feature many beloved cast members reprising their roles, including Tom Hanks as Woody the Cowboy, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie. Ernie Hudson will step in to voice Combat Carl, taking over from the late actor Carl Weathers, who passed away in February 2024. Additional notable voice talents include Conan O'Brien, Craig Robinson, Shelby Rabara, Mykal-Michelle Harris, and Scarlett Spears.

Disney has outlined the narrative of Toy Story 5 with the tagline "Toy Meets Tech," wherein Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and their companions face an unprecedented challenge in playtime history: a tablet called Lilypad, which will be voiced by Greta Lee. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 19. It is co-directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris, with music composed by Randy Newman returning to the franchise.

Bad Bunny's involvement in Toy Story 5 marks another milestone in his expanding acting career. The talented artist has demonstrated his acting abilities over the last few years. Notably, in 2022, he portrayed the character Wolf in David Leitch's Bullet Train, which starred Brad Pitt, and recently featured as Colorado in the 2025 film Caught Stealing, alongside Austin Butler, Regina King, and Zoë Kravitz.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Bad Bunny will also appear in Porto Rico, a film that chronicles the life of the influential Puerto Rican revolutionary José Maldonado Román, recognized as Águila Blanca (White Eagle).
