Offset Shot Near Florida Casino, Hospitalized in Stable Condition
Rapper Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, according to a representative who confirmed the incident to Rolling Stone.
"We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care," the spokesperson stated. "He is stable and being closely monitored." The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been disclosed.
This tragic incident occurs over three years after the death of Takeoff, Offset's Migos bandmate and cousin, who was fatally shot in Houston on November 1, 2022, at age 28. In the aftermath of Takeoff's death, Offset shared an emotional tribute expressing his grief. "The pain you have left me with is unbearable," he wrote. "My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can't find the words. I've been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it's reality, and reality feels like a nightmare."
Commemorating the one-year anniversary of Takeoff's passing, both Offset and Quavo honored their fallen group member's legacy. "The times we spent is priceless what we built in this game they never wanted to give us our flowers we influenced the world," Offset posted on social media. "I Love you Take you still here with us I just know you are!!!! Migo 4Life!!!!!!"
Following Takeoff's death, Quavo and his family established the Rocket Foundation, an organization dedicated to funding community-based initiatives aimed at preventing gun violence. Their advocacy efforts have included meetings with the Congressional Black Caucus and former Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the personal and societal impact of gun violence.
