BTS showcased their talent on The Tonight Show with a remarkable performance at the Guggenheim Museum, following their earlier set where they performed “Swim” and engaged in an extensive interview with host Jimmy Fallon. The subsequent night, they delivered an energetic rendition of their new single “2.0.”

This lively track is featured on BTS’ latest album, Arirang. The dynamic seven-member group captivated fans poised on the circular levels above as they sang and danced across the museum floor. Notably, RM adapted his performance due to an ankle injury sustained during rehearsals for their recent comeback concert, spending much of the presentation seated on a stool.

Arirang marks BTS' first full-length album since 2022. In crafting this album, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook temporarily relocated to Los Angeles, where they lived collectively in a shared house for two months—this being the first time all seven members resided together since 2019.

During the interview with Fallon, RM elaborated on the album’s title, which is derived from a well-known Korean folk song. “I think it’s the song that represents Koreans the most,” he stated. “It encompasses a wide array of emotions—joy, sorrow, longings, sadness, and even resistance. We aspire for our new songs to resonate universally, much like ‘arirang,’ which embodies Korean tradition.”

Furthermore, V provided insight into the meaning behind “2.0,” describing the upbeat song as a reflection of “who we are today after our solo journeys.” “When we say ‘You know how we do it’ in ‘2.0,’ you can genuinely feel it,” he remarked. “It captures our confidence.”

Additionally, the documentary BTS: The Return was released on Netflix today, offering viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at BTS’ recent free concert at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square, which was live-streamed by Netflix. Looking ahead, the group will embark on an extensive 82-date world tour starting April 9, which is scheduled to continue through March of the following year. Screenings for two concerts, officially titled BTS World Tour “Arirang” Live Viewing, are set for April 11 showcasing their performance in Goyang, South Korea, and April 18 in Tokyo.
