Airbnb has announced an expansion of its service offerings by introducing a new private car pick-up category, which will be available in 125 cities globally. This new feature is a result of a partnership with Welcome Pickups, enabling users to reserve private transportation in key locations such as Paris, Bali, and Mexico City.

The travel platform noted that it has conducted a pilot program in Europe and Asia, where the service garnered an impressive average rating of 4.96 based on feedback from "thousands of guests." Following the booking of a stay in a participating city, users will have the opportunity to schedule a private cab directly through the Trips tab of the Airbnb app. Additionally, users can easily review and modify their cab reservations within the app interface.

"Airbnb Services are designed to enhance a guest’s stay, and our partnership with Welcome Pickups delivers that from the moment they arrive," remarked Dave Stephenson, Chief Business Officer at Airbnb.

The company has plans to broaden this service to additional cities and locations throughout the year. Last summer, Airbnb introduced its services category, complementing its growing experiences section. This launch included ten categories of services, such as chefs, catering, prepared meals, photography, massages, spa treatments, personal training, hair, nails, and makeup, available across eight countries.

In November, Airbnb also announced a collaboration with Instacart, allowing guests in select U.S. cities to order groceries before and during their stay.

With this recent feature implementation, Airbnb is advancing toward a comprehensive suite of service offerings. The company is also exploring the option for users to book hotel rooms. During the Q4 2025 earnings call, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky highlighted the significant opportunity in the hotel sector, emphasizing that such offerings will integrate Airbnb more deeply into the travel experience, meeting the diverse accommodation needs of all guests.
