Iraq has successfully concluded a 30-year absence from the FIFA World Cup by securing a 2-1 victory over Bolivia in the second final of the intercontinental playoffs held in Mexico. This victory signifies Iraq's qualification as the 48th team for the upcoming tournament.

The match, played at the Monterrey Stadium in Guadalupe on Tuesday, featured goals from Ali Al-Hamadi and Aymen Hussein, propelling the Lions of Mesopotamia past their South American counterparts.

Al-Hamadi provided Iraq with an ideal start by scoring the opening goal in the 10th minute; however, Moises Paniagua equalized for Bolivia just 28 minutes later in what proved to be an intensely competitive matchup.

The decisive moment came shortly after the half-time interval when Aymen Hussein netted the winning goal from a close range, capitalizing on a cross from Marko Farji in the 53rd minute.
